The following ideas are those of poet/philosopher Sky.
Gift of Grace Maybe, in a stressed-out society, serenity is a subversive act. |
If you can love yourself, and therefore, others unconditionally, |
All the spiritual wisdom of the world can be summed up in one word: Friendship Friendship to oneself, friendship to others, friendship to experience (one's own and others'), friendship to things, friendship to both what is and what is not (but may or may not become).... Friendship to BEING. ~~~ Friendship is about one's relationship to oneself. ~~~ For me, relationship is primarily poetic: how I feel about myself and my words,
~~~ Friendship is bigger than it's participants.
Grace Through Awareness of Now If God isn't now talking to me Through every cell of my body, always: Then, now and forever, Where else would He be?
Where do I go in order to find my grace? I find it in every breath, gesture, For me, then, sensitivity, compassion, love, concern, all of these are feelings I discover The shorter the distance, the greater my life, my love, my sensitivity, my being aliveness. For me, soul is that experience of being alive. And the more in touch I am with that Share, as it happens, as it is happening, now, from my life itself. More than anything else, I feel, grace is a discovery of something that is most It is not a construction, but a focus on the purest essence of what is coming to be, ~~~ To Infinite Grace,
One needs only one thing, a warm heart. ~~~ What if all of Maslow's needs could best be insured A WARM HEART I mean, as in, automatically.
|
Cycle of Grace We are all, basically, either in love or in fear.
|
Transcendence of Grace As such it would, it does, it must, include BOTH presence and absence. In Grace, both presence and absence are graced. Isn't that what Grace does? It harmonizes opposites: love and hate, light and dark, gain and loss, life and death, presence and absence. Grace is, precisely, what assuages the pain of loss, grace is precisely what makes the risk of loss worth taking.
Cultivating Grace Through Transformation Grace, then, is the inspiration that meets the fear, the darkness and despair with the light of love. Love, not anger, not torment, not blame. It is, for me, precisely the need to blame that must be transformed. In Tibetan Buddhism, the practice of tantra is the transformation of anger into love.
Cultivating Grace Through Mantras As one cultivates grace, one finds that grace becomes, more and more, an ongoing and intimate experience with one's every breath, gesture, thought. It may sing itself so thoroughly into the music of one's life, so as to weave itself into one's life, a harmonious thread in the cosmic tapestry. Every moment experienced as an ongoing ritual, in concert with the one religion of infinite sentience itself. The way to remember spiritual aspirations is through a deliberately constructed, poetically authentic, and sensitively emotive mantra. Repeat your mantra throughout the day. Daily review to revise your mantras, for greater meaning, to reflect your new focus, aspiration and progress. ~~~ Now as Always ~~~ Warm Heart ~~~ Warm Clarity ~~~ White Light Heart Profound Lotus
Cultivating Grace Through Serene Awareness The serene is what is left over once we've faced our demons. ~~~ There are two ingredients requisite to all spiritual practice: facing what one would generally avoid and taking the time to do so, so as to make it as effortless, serene, warm and loving as possible. Time is love, love is time. I equate the absence of time with the absence of love. When we have time for someone, we have time to love that someone. Friends are people we spend time with. Love is time. Patience. Patience is love. Tantra is time to love oneself and one's self love becomes love for other(s). Time to face |
Cultivating Grace Through Relaxed Witness Grace (Love) is that ineffable ultimate truth. Grace is always in the background, whether we feel it or not. Grace is NOT a feeling because feelings are transitory and dependent on some one or another environmental condition. Grace is always there, always available for one. One need merely relax and witness.
Cultivating Grace Through Harmony I see grace as the complete resolution of aggression. Grace is, precisely, the dissolution of struggle, of fear, of inner disharmony, of intense passion. Grace is effortless harmony and understanding. It is the unification, harmonization, of all one's faculties: one's sense of Ultimate Reality, one's heart and emotion, soul and spirit, mind and intellect, word and deed: self as other. When one experiences self as other, other as self, one experiences oneself as a unified whole in harmony with itself and others. My emphasis on effortlessness is thus an emphasis on inner harmony in relationship to everything and everyone. Parenthetically, I would equate aggression, struggle, fear, lust, with loneliness. Loneliness. I'm beginning to see all aggression as a form of loneliness. Grace then, would be the complete transcendence of loneliness. Hence, loneliness could be viewed as that feeling of separateness which can also be equated with "ego." Grace, then, as the loss of the ego, so to speak, the loss of the experience of separateness, of aloneness.
Cultivating Grace Through Ontophilia ontophilia: the love of just being and all that is just because it is. ~~~ The universe, the musical instrument upon which we play the melodies of each blossoming moment. Every word and thought a stanza. The magnificence of tone. Every living being, a universe of infinite magnitude and precision. So overwhelming that we imagine there exists the more and the less than: comparison. When there is actually none.
~~~ Can we experience Grace while still living in uncertainty? Doesn't Grace bless Everything, especially The Absolute Uncertainty of Life? Isn't Grace, precisely, The Very Beauty of Uncertainty as it weaves itself subtly Isn't it that ~ that Other ~ to Whom we wish to transmit Awareness of

What dark loneliness and desperate ignorance some must endure before Grace finally touches the heart with her tender and nurturing serenity, an assuring warmth, and a radiant, comforting clarity! ~ ~ ~ Only grace can transcend danger; only grace can transcend tragedy. ~ ~ ~ Grace IS Salvation ~~~ Grace Only Sees Grace ~~~ Grace is The Boundless Presence of Ever Burgeoning Opportunity ~ ~ ~ Grace IS vigilant relaxation or alert ease or comfortable awareness. ~~~ You can really see absolutely every moment, every day, every event, every act, ~~~ There is not one single step of what you're doing that isn't an absolutely necessary and important part of your divine project. ~~~ Grace assuages the pain of loss and makes the risk of loss worth taking. ~ ~ ~ Only grace can transcend danger; only grace can transcend tragedy. Without the possibility of perdition, grace has no meaning. ~ ~ ~ "The purpose of life is to find Waldo everywhere, as Grace." ~ ~ ~ Eden was hell because there was no need for grace. This is heaven because only here can there be grace. ~ ~ ~ Only the inevitability of our death makes grace possible. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Simply learning to relax with all my feelings equals "enlightenment." ~ ~ ~ The feeling gets the blessing. ~~~ You are absolutely perfect, as you are, were, are becoming, as you will become. ~~~ You only have two real choices. You can either see something as an opportunity or you can see it as a liability. Anything in between is just another liability. So, if you see everything as an opportunity, you're living your life to the fullest, relaxed and in grace. If you see something, anything, as other than an opportunity, you're tormenting yourself dreadfully and unnecessarily. (I vote against that self-torment option, personally. How about you?) ~~~ Truth Through Relaxed Vigilance ~~~ Eternity is of the Essence In other words, we can bring the feeling, the experience, the trance state, ~~~ Spirit Over Identity = Liberation Identity Over Spirit = Bondage Identity = Suffering Anonymously Spirit ~~~ We can be playful until the sacred cows come aum. ~~~ The spirit of love is, precisely, FREEDOM FROM ATTACHMENT TO ANY IDENTITY, ANY NAME, ANYTHING. ~~~ Happiness feels like having it all ~~~ The spirit of unconditional happiness. ~ not on what one lacks. As simple as that!!! ~~~ Court the spirit of a good time, and let the rest fall into it's own place. ~~~ Health = Happiness Healthiest = Happiest Happy = Happy with Most Things Happier = Happy with Almost Everything Happiest = Happy with Absolutely Everything Happiness = What One Makes of Things Happiness = A Cultivation of Perspective Can one be happy with EVERYTHING? I'd say, that's what "enlightenment" is.
~~~
Or: Ecstasy, Intimacy and Eternity ~~~ Eternity is "what'z happ'n'n'" fow me NOW. ~~~ Spirit Over Identity = Liberation Identity Over Spirit = Bondage Identity = Suffering ~~~ Eternity is of the Essence ~~~ Grace Seeking Nothing (Anywhere) But Its Self INSIDE Its Own Self ~~~ Warm Hearted Friendship ~ Always and Above All Else ~~~ A Warm Heart is The Light of Creation ~~~ Forever fresh with forgiveness, Grace flowers freely under fire. ~~~ Grace: expressing inner harmony. ~~~ Radiance is the palpable sensation of inner grace, emanating fully. ~~~ Love As Inner Harmony ~~~ A warm heart ~~~ Existence in an appeal to kindness. ~~~ Breath of Life: Embrace and Release. ~~~ When you slow down, your feelings become audible. ~~~ The slower you go, the faster the lotus blossoms. ~~~ As I imagine, so I become. ~~~ The keys to life are found in the White Light. ~~~ The serene is what is left over once we've faced our demons. ~~~ To have a benevolence so wide and deep that it can grant compassion to, and thus, see the cosmic beauty in, the worst that living has to offer ~ why, isn't this the ultimate proof, the ultimate manifestation, the ultimate goal of UNCONDITIONAL LOVE AND BEAUTY ? ~~~
