Art of Grace

Synonyms for Grace

People of all cultures from all times have and continue to seek an awareness of joy, connection and love, what some call grace. Grace (in the sense that is used on this site) has many synonyms. Following are a few synonyms:

  • Awakened - awakened to the blessings of the Ulitmate Source which sustains us. Awakened means no longer in a culturally-induced dream state.
  • Mindful - awareness that you are not your emotions or thoughts, and that you are a part of something much larger.
  • Enlightened - illuminated by awareness of your unity with the All.
  • Saved - as in a sense of salvation; knowing that for your spirit to be eternal, your body must return to dust. It is awareness that your salvation depends upon the salvation of others.
  • Aligned with the Divine - your intents and actions are in alignment with the greater whole. What is good for you is good for the whole and vice versa.
  • Flow - being and moving effortlessly with ease and relaxation; not clinging to falsehoods. The sense is of "Let go and let God."
  • Oneness - The awareness that you are a part of the whole of Creation. It is the awareness that your "self" is part of a larger whole. This expanded sense of self is the foundation for compassion, knowing that as you do unto others, you are doing unto your larger self.
  • Born Again - the sense that you were once born of the flesh and are born again with a new awareness of the Source, of Utlimate Reality, and your connection to a greater wholeness.
  • YES! - as in: “And after that final no there comes a yes. And on that yes the future world depends.” ~ Wallace Stevens.
  • Communion - the sense that we are connected with ourselves, each other, the biosphere, and the universe. Communion may be expressed as "Connected to Big Mind" or "Communication with the Absolute" ~ Larry Dossey
